- Obituary:
MAGRUDER, Gloria Lucille Scarfpin, 83, of Wheeling, W.Va., passed away on April 4, 2011 in Wheeling Hospital.
Mrs. Magruder was born on September 7, 1927 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, the daughter of the late Earl and Maude Jeffers Scarfpin.
Gloria was a former sales clerk for the former Mendelsonás Children Shop and a Methodist by faith.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Magruder in 2008, three brothers, Richard, James and Earl Scarfpin, two sisters, Carolyn Bennett and Thelma Eicholtz, and a nephew, Frank A. Scarfpin Jr.
She is survived by three daughters, Gloria Baum, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Elaine Bickmeier and her husband, Mike of Shadyside, Ohio, and Jackie McNabb of Wheeling, and son-in- law, Bob McNabb of Wheeling; three brothers, Willis Scarfpin and his wife, Marge of Martins Ferry, Ohio, Robert Scarfpin and his wife, Carol of Martins Ferry, Ohio, and Frank Scarfpin and his wife, Pam of Minford, Ohio; three sisters, Eleanor Sindeldecker of Martins Ferry, Ohio, Sharon Ashworth and her husband, Bob of Sugarland, Texas, and Sara Harman and her husband, Tim of Tampa, Fla.; two grandsons, Brent and Travis McNabb, and one granddaughter, Britney Baum.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Kepner Funeral Home, 36th and Jacob Street, South Wheeling, where services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. with the Pastor Jeff Lewis officiating.
Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
