    Obituary from The Kent County Daily Times, 18 April 2011: MARTIN Sr., Raymond F., 83, of Coventry, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Kent Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

    He was the beloved husband of 60 years to Yvette (Auger) Martin. Born inWest Warwick, he was a son of the late John and Obilene (Levesque) Martin.

    Raymond was employed at Hoechst Chemical for over 25 years before retiring in 1990. An amateur comedian, he enjoyed weightlifting, life, his many friends and family, but most of all, spending time with his grandchildren.

    Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, Raymond Martin, Jr. and his wife Deborah of Kensington, CT, Gary Martin Sr. and his wife Cynthia and Steven Martin and his wife Margie-Rae, all of Warwick; a daughter, Althea (Martin) Fanella of Coventry, 5 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was a brother of the late Theophile, William and Robert Martin, and Dorothy Frenette.

    His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:00 am from the R. A.

    IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., Coventry with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in SS. John & Paul Church. Interment will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.

    Visiting hours Tuesday 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to SS. John & Paul Church, 341 South Main St., Coventry would be appreciated. www.iannottifh.com.
