- Obituary:
COTTER, Harriett L. (Getz) 91, of Springfield, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, February 15, 2005. She was born in Springfield, Ohio on April 21, 1913, the daughter of Albert and Bessie (Conover) Getz. She managed the John L. Cotter Realty for over 22 years after the passing of her husband John L. Cotter in 1971. She was a faithful Christian attending the Hillside Avenue Church of God for 72 years, where she was active in the choir and music ministry. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Ginny Cotter, Jim and Linda Cotter all of Springfield, Ohio; two daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Lamar Curtis of Cedarville, Ohio and Rita and Mark Naill of Springfield; ten grandchildren, Cheri (Randy) Green, Deanna (Brian) McCarrier, Lori (Jeff) Hobbs, Krista (Mario) Valdes Zamora, Daren (Kathleen) Cotter, Marla (James) Byron, Kim (Tony) Dembickie, Staci (Jason) Lambert, Kara Sanders, Jason (Dawn) Naill; 16 great-grandchildren, Talor and Danae` Green, Beth, Hannah and Ian McCarrier, Natalia and Citlalli Valdes Zamora, Druw Sanders, Samantha and Madeline Hobbs, Nathan Cotter, Grace and Emma Dembickie, Emily and Alyssa Lambert, McKayla Naill; and a number of nieces and nephews and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John L. Cotter, three sisters and three brothers. Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the JACKSON LYTLE & WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, North Limestone Street, A Dignity Memorial Provider. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Hillside Avenue Church of God with Rev. Dr. L. Brent Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Hillside Avenue Church of God Memorial Fund, 2021 Hillside Avenue, Springfield, Ohio 45503 in her memory.
