Amos Kohn's family Bible lists a son named George, born on January 22, 1824, which is about a month earlier than the birthday implied in George Kohn's death record, which states that he was 47 years, 11 months, and 2 days old.

George Kohn was a member of the First Methodist Church, Kenton, Ohio, having been transferred by letter on 24 Sept 1865. He died of "lung fever." Both the 1860 and 1870 censuses for Hardin County, Ohio, give his birthplace as Virginia, but his death record gives his birthplace as what appears to be "Fairfield". The entry in the 1860 census of Hardin County, Ohio, includes George Coon (age 35, born Virginia), Hannah Coon (age 27, born Ohio), John Coon (age 6, born Ohio), Sally Coon (age 7, born Ohio), and Rachel Coon (age 2, born Ohio). The 1870 census of Pleasant Township, Hardin County, Ohio, records the family as follows: John (sic) Kohn (age 45, born Virginia), Hannah Kohn (age 38, born Ohio), Rachel Kohn (age 10, born Ohio), William Kohn (age 8, born Ohio), Nancy Kohn (age 4, born Ohio), and Eliza Kohn (age 4, born Ohio). George's son, John David Kohn, was living with the nearby family of John Whitmore. George's mother may have been named Mary. There was a Mary Koons living with the Curtis Wilkin family in Pleasant Township, Hardin County, Ohio, at the time of the 1870 census. She was 74 years old, and her birthplace is recorded as Virginia.

A George Khon (sic), age 38, born in Virginia, registered for the draft in 1862 in Boles Creek (Bokescreek) Township, Logan County, Ohio, just south of the Hardin County line.

The administrator of George Kohn's estate was John Wall. The last name is spelled Cone on the inventory, which included the following:

Named as heirs were his widow, Hannah, and children John, Rachel, William, Nancy, and Elisa. W.T. Cessna was appointed guardian, presumably of his minor children. The last name is spelled Kolen in the newspaper notice.

The Amos Kohn family moved to New Albany in Franklin County, Ohio, probably in 1831. Amos died in Franklin County (in or near New Albany, northeast of Columbus) in 1844, and his widow Rachel married George Welch on October 9, 1845. Though she was about 46, she had a child by him: Mahlon, born 1846 or 1847. In 1850 some of her Kohn children were living with her and her second husband, and the census-taker misidentifies them as Welches.

Rachel Chilcote Kohn Welch was living with her son Isaac Kohn in Paulding County at the time of the 1880 census. She died there November 20, 1884 and was buried in the Middle Creek Cemetery in Grover Hill.

Joseph and Marsena Hauk moved to Hardin County, Ohio, and were living in Goshen Township at the time of the 1850 census. They lived next to Marsina's sister and her husband, James and Charlottle Russell. In the 1860 Census, the Hawks were living in Cessna Township, Hardin County. The records of Ferncliff Cemetery, Springfield, Ohio, indicate that Joseph was born in Morgan County, Ohio.

This is probably the same Samuel Baldwin listed as a member of Class No. 9, 56th Regiment, 2nd Battalion, Loudoun County Militia, Captain George Rust's Company, on 15 September 1794. In October 1794, the regiment was in western Pennsylvania active in suppressing the Whiskey Rebellion. About 20 years after that, George Rust purchased a plantation as part of the settlement of the estate of Peter Romine, possibly the grandfather of Samuel Baldwin's wife. Samuel and Hannah Baldwin moved to Ohio from Loudoun County, Virginia, sometime between 1807, when their daughter Charlotte was born, and 1809, when Samuel signed a deed in Belmont County. On 30 May 1809, Samuel purchased 80 acres of land in Muskingum County from James Johnston of Steubenville, for $400. He is listed on the 1814 tax list of Muskingum County, Ohio. When he died intestate in 1830, the land passed to his children. By 1857, his son James had bought out the other heirs and owned the farm. Several of his children gave Samuel's place of birth as Virginia, rather than Pennsylvania, in the 1880 census.

Samuel married Hannah Romine in cir 1804. Hannah (daughter of Peter Romine and Ruth Burson) was born on 23 Apr 1785 in Virginia, USA; was christened in Aug 1816 in Salt Creek Baptist Church, Smith Mill, Muskingum County, Ohio, USA; died on 27 Mar 1858 in Muskingum County, Ohio, USA; was buried in Salt Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Smith Mill, Muskingum County, Ohio, USA.
