    Notes:

    Michel Lemay emigrated to Trois-Rivières in 1654.

    Michel married Marie-Michelle Duteau, dite Perrin on 15 Jun 1659 in Cap-de-la-Madeleine, Québec, Canada. Marie-Michelle (daughter of Pierre Duteau and Jeanne Perrin) was born on 21 Aug 1639; was christened on 25 Aug 1639 in Protestant Church of La Rochelle, Aunis, France; died in cir 1675.   2. 5.  Marie-Michelle Duteau, dite Perrin was born on 21 Aug 1639; was christened on 25 Aug 1639 in Protestant Church of La Rochelle, Aunis, France (daughter of Pierre Duteau and Jeanne Perrin); died in cir 1675.

    Notes:

    Marie Duteau was twenty years old at her marriage, and a Huguenot emigrant from la Rochelle, but she must have converted to Catholicism when she married. She was one of the women known in New France as the "Filles á Marier", or "marriageable girls". She arrived in New France in 1658 aboard the ship Prince-Guillaume, along with her mother and brother, Charles.

  3. 6.  Charles Jobin was born in cir 1625 in Amfreville-sous-les-Monts, France (son of Jacques Jobin and Marguérite Roy); died on 26 Nov 1705 in Charlesbourg, Québec, Canada.

    Notes:

    Charles Jobin probably emigrated to Canada in the summer of 1669, as one child was born at the beginning of that year in France, and the next at the end of the same year in Canada. Charles and Marie-Madeleine were married not in either of their home towns, but in Paris, at the church of St-Germain l'Auxerrois, and their third and fourth children were baptized there, also. Charles was presumably working in Paris as a tailor, and afetr emigrating, he worked as a master tailor in Québec city until his death.

    Notes:

    François Lemay and his wife Marie Gaschet lived in Chesnehutte-les-Tuffeaux, Anjou (also then called Chesnehutte-Trèves-Cunault), where they were married in the 1620s (probably in the Romanesque church of Nôtre-Dame).
