    In Loudoun County, Virginia, USA, court records (Land Deed Book 3F, Page 386, dated 17 June 1822 and received in the court on 14 April 1823), Isaiah Romine confirmed that "having lived with Lydia Reed in intamacy (sic) and not being married during which time she had children Isaiah, Minor, Rebeccah, Mahala and Thurza, he acknowledges the children as his. Considers them fully legitimate". Witnessed by Robert Wynn

Peter and Abigail Romine donated the land for Katoctin Baptist Church in Loudoun County, Virginia.
