    Grace McIntosh Duff and her two children are listed on two passenger lists from 1908. The assumption is that they were scheduled to sail on the earlier voyage, but for some reason did not embark. The first list is from the ship Pretorian, which sailed from Glasgow to Montreal on 15 May 1908. The second list is from the ship Grampian, which sailed from Glasgow to Montreal on 5 June 1908. They disembarked at Montreal, Québec.

    The marriage license of Thomas McIntosh and Agnes Wallace states that they were married after the forms of the Free Church. Witnesses were Alexander Ireland and Elisabeth Wallace. The birth of Thomas and Agnes McIntosh's first child, John Wallace McIntosh, occurred in Inverkeithing, Fifeshire. However, their place of residence is given on John's birth certificate as Liff and Benvie in Angus. At the time of the 1881 census, the family was living at 134 Blackness Road, Liff and Benvie, Forfarshire, Scotland. Living with the family was Maggie McIntosh (age 14, born Dundee), probably Thomas' sister. At the time of the 1901 census,the family was living at 44 West Port Road, St. Mary, Dundee. Living with Thomas and Agnes were their children William (age 22), Grace (age 20), David (age 19), and Jane (age 16). Their daughter, Elizabeth McCabe, was living at the same address, with her husband William and daughter Agnes.
