Notes |
- The inventory of Joseph Baldwin's estate was taken 27 March 1815 in Loudoun County. The estate consisted of carpenter's tools, lumber, and household furnishings. This is probably the same Joseph Baldwin listed as a member of Class No. 6, 56th Regiment, 2nd Battalion, Loudoun County Militia, Captain George Rust's Company, on 15 September 1794. A Joseph Baldwin was adjudged to be the father of a male child born to Hannah Roach in Loudoun County, Virginia, on 15 April 1803. He was ordered to pay 6 pounds per year for four years to support the child. It is unknown if it was this Joseph Baldwin. He apparently did father a child by Jane Bates in Loudoun County. Details are in the PDF at the bottom of this page titled "Joseph Baldwin vs. Jacob Thomas".
