  Notes	John Brewer is thought to have been born in Cardiff, Wales, and to have emigrated to Massachusetts in 1645. He was a member of the Nansemond Puritan Colony of Virginia. In 1649, this Puritan colony moved to Maryland, and Brewer settled on the South River near Annapolis. He was a Commissioner for Anne Arundel County in 1657, and a member of the Assembly in 1661.
