Notes |
- At the time of the 1850 census, taken on 30 July 1850, Sarah Romine Nevitt was living with the family of George W. Dove in Springfield Township, Muskingum County, Ohio. Her older son, Thomas Nevitt, was living with his grandparents, Jacob and Martha Stout Romine, in Perry Township, Muskingum County, Ohio, and her younger son, Moses Nevitt, was living with the family of William Alexander in Washington Township, Muskingum County, Ohio. William Alexander was the father of James Alexander, the administrator of the estate of James Baldwin. Sarah's husband may have been deceased by the time of the 1850 census.
- Some trees at Ancestry.com report that Sarah married for a second time in February 1850 to Marshall W. Hart, but there are no sources reported for this marriage date. As indicated above, she was listed in the 1850 census, taken on 30 July, as Sarah Nevitt.
