    • The 1880 census shows Louis Jean living in Lincoln, Rhode Island, and working as a carpenter. The census also shows two nieces, Emilie and Mathilde Plamindon (?) living with the family. All his children, with the exception of Maria, were living with him. The baptismal record of his daughter, Maria, also gives his occupation as carpenter. Louis and his family returned to Canada, as his family is listed in the 1901 census of St. Norbert. The census indicates that they returned to Canada in 1882.
