    • The marriage license of Thomas McIntosh and Agnes Wallace states that they were married after the forms of the Free Church. Witnesses were Alexander Ireland and Elisabeth Wallace. The birth of Thomas and Agnes McIntosh's first child, John Wallace McIntosh, occurred in Inverkeithing, Fifeshire. However, their place of residence is given on John's birth certificate as Liff and Benvie in Angus. At the time of the 1881 census, the family was living at 134 Blackness Road, Liff and Benvie, Forfarshire, Scotland. Living with the family was Maggie McIntosh (age 14, born Dundee), probably Thomas' sister. At the time of the 1901 census,the family was living at 44 West Port Road, St. Mary, Dundee.
