- The John Magruder family was living in Union Township, Fayette County, Ohio, at the time of the 1900 Census (see 1900 Ohio Census, Fayette County, page 136a). Living with the family was his father-in-law, David Lewis, and his brother-in-law, David Lewis. After the divorce of John Garrett Magruder and Martha Hall, she moved to Boulder, Colorado, where she married Andrew L. Wing. At the time of the 1920 Census, the family was living at 1245 Warder Street, Springfield, Ohio. John Garrett and Hannah Lewis Magruder both died at the home of John's daughter, Della Magruder Pettit, at 1107 Kenton Street, Springfield, Ohio, within two days of each other. John Garrett Magruder was a helper at Robbins and Myers Company in Springfield, Ohio.
