    • Obituary Xenia Daily Gazette Aug. 15, 1902:
      Waynesville Gazette:
Daniel Romine, a pioneer citizen of Harveysburg, aged almost eighty years, was found lying in an unconscious state near his home in that village Thursday morning; he lingered until Friday morning, when death released him. Mr. Romine had arisen in the morning and had gone to milk his cows, as was his custom, early in the morning, and when discovered was lying on his back, one of his hands being badly cut where some of the cattle had trampled upon it; however, it is supposed that he was overcome by paralysis and while lying on the ground his hand was stepped on. Later investigation revealed a cut in the back of his head, probably caused by his heavy fall. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon from the family residence in Harveysburg and the remains conveyed to Miami cemetery for interment. Mr. Romine is survived by an aged widow and one son, Mr. J.T. Romine, of Harveysburg. [3]
