Word was received here Saturday of the death of W. H. Neathery of Bald
Knob, Ark., from apoplexy, about 9 o'clock Saturday morning.
He was the eldest son of S. H. Neathery, one of the oldest native-born
citizens of Lamar county, and a brother of Mrs. J. W. Crook and the late Justin
Neathery who died here a few weeks ago of a heart attack.
His brother-in-law, J. W. Crook and C. M. Hill, left overland Saturday for
Arkansas. Arrangements for the funeral had not been learned here late last
night.
Mr. Neathery, 59 years old, was born and reared in Lamar county, making
his home here until about (9) years ago when he went to Arkansas. He had been
engaged in hotel work at Bald Knob, his permanent residence being at Little
Rock. He is survived by his wife and two children by a former marriage, a son
living in El Paso and a daughter in Oklahoma City.
