  Notes	Marie Marguerie was one of the women known in New France as the "Filles á Marier", or "marriageable girls". She arrived in Canada in 1639, following her brother François, an explorer and companion of Champlain. She was in charge of the sacristy at Trois-Rivières for the last fifty years of her life.
