    • Henry Ridgeley settled on the Patuxent River in Prince George's County, Maryland, in 1659, on a royal grant of 6000 acres. His third wife, Mary, was the widow of Mareen Duval, the Huguenot. Henry Ridgeley was a vestryman of St. Ann's Church and was one of the early founders of Anne Arundel County, Maryland. He was a Commissioner to Advance Trade in 1683, Justice of the Peace from 1686 to 1696, Captain of a company of militia in 1689, commissioned a major in 1692, a member of the Assembly in 1694, commissoned a lieutenant colonel in 1694, and a member of the Governor's Council.
