Name Duncan Campbell Suffix of Lochow Gender Male Death 1453 Notes - Sir Duncan Campbell of Lochow, 1st Lord Campbell, was raised to the dignity of a Lord of Parliament by James II in 1445, by the title Lord Campbell. In the previous reign, Duncan had been a member of the Privy Council and been appointed the King's Justiciary and Lord Lieutenant of county Argyll. Lord Campbell was one of the hostages for the redemption of James I in 1424, for whom he collected the ransom, taking it to Windsor. His annual revenue at that time was stated to be 1500 marks, a larger income than that of any of the other hostages.
