- John Wallace served in the army during the Revolutionary War, and was wounded. He lived for a time in Blount County, Tennessee, leaving there about 1814 for Bibb County, Alabama. He and his wife had about nine children, only four of whom are known. John Wallace may have been born in Wautauga, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
