Notes |
- In July 1740 George Burson was given a 'certificate of removal' by the Gwynnedd Meeting. This is probably when he moved to Loudoun County, though the document does not say where he was going. Over the next few months he sold his land, but he did not apply to join the Fairfax Meeting in Loudoun County until 30 April 1754. George both rented and owned land, including a 'plantation' on the North Branch of Cattacken (that is, Catoctin) Creek, which flows into the Potomac just across from Point of Rocks, Maryland.
