She spent her later years traveling every six months to stay with her sons in Saskatchewan and her daughters in British Columbia. She was reportedly one of Canada's first female certified teachers. She taught not only her own children, but others as well in French and English, probably Michoff. She was said to have taught many Ukranian children. although she found it difficult to teach in so many languages. She was educated in Regina.
