Notes |
- The Nathaniel Baldwin family was living in Shenango Township, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, at the time of the 1850 census. The land that the family owned became part of Taylor Township in 1853, and they were listed there in the 1860 census. According to his obituary, Nathaniel was still active on the family farm when he died; he was run over by a grain drill and died two weeks later. He was apparently quite prosperous and owned limestone quarries operated by Green & Marquis. His will was dated 9 April 1892, and was filed in Lawrence County on 12 November 1892. In the will, he mentions his wife, Catherine, his son Isaac, and the children of his deceased sons, Abram and Samuel. He also left money to Bethel Baptist Church.
