Notes Married:
- There is another marriage record for a Lewis Lewis and Mary Evans from Llanfihangel Ystrad, Cardiganshire, Wales. That marriage occurred on 30 October 1822. The signatures of Lewis Lewis are similar on that marriage record and the one from Henfynyw, and the name of one of the witnesses, David Rees, was common to both records. The marriage record from Henfynyw does state that Lewis was a blacksmith, so that marriage record does appear to refer to this couple. The other marriage, which can be viewed by following this link, does not state an occupation for the groom.
