    Notes:

    Obituary: JAMES A. SIMPSON who for 17 years had been a well know resident of Scioto Co. died Sunday afternoon at 4 oclock, his death taking place in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Elliot Shaw, who lives near the Game Perserve, West Side. Death was due to infirmities. Mrs. Simpson died 13 years ago. Three sons and two daughters survive; Henry and George of this city, John of Washington State, Mrs. Hayes Downes of Illinois and Mrs. Shaw. Funeral services will be held from the Friendship M. E. Church at 2 pm Tuesday, the last rites to be the charge of the Rev. C. L. Thayer. Interment will be in Greenlawn. (Note: This is incorrect. He was buried in Friendship Cemetery.)
