    Loves ¨ Her sons; She was very proud of both of them. ¨ Her two grandchildren; Couldn't wait for Jeff and Dawn to have children! ¨ Her mother, sisters, and brother; Close knit family; Took care andlooked after her mother. ¨ Talking on the phone to her family (especially sisters anddaughter-in-laws) and friends (especially Carla Rydquist); She was thecentral contact for the family keeping everyone abreast on each other'slives. ¨ Traveling. Used her United Airline flight benefits provided by Jeffquite a bit. ¨ 1992 Mazda Miata, sliver; Liked to go with the top down! ¨ Broncos! Season ticket holder since 1979; Sundays were about football! ¨ Shopping! She could shop all day and wear you out! Malls, discount,and factory stores; loved Ruby Tuesday, Joslins, and Ikea; Was startingto do a lot of on-line shopping. ¨ Coffee. Ice tea. Gatorade. Beer. Caffeine-free Pepsi. Winecoolers. Long Island Ice Teas. Wine. Smoking. Before her illness,would always find her with a drink in one hand and a cigarette in theother; Wouldn't quit smoking although doctors told her it was making herCrohn's Disease worse (some medical books says cause). ¨ Sun and water; She liked going to the pool or lake; Always sat in thesun getting a tan, smoking a cigarette, and drinking a beer with a coolcup on it. ¨ Water skiing on Pueblo Reservoir; Taught her sons how to water ski whenfive-years-old; Went every Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday in thesummer; Larry went golfing on Saturday mornings, boys did chores, andMarsha got everything ready to go. ¨ Sitting in the ski lodges with Larry socializing as her sons snowedskied; They took the boys often during the winter; They always looked thepart with their moon boots and ski jackets and pants. ¨ Sitting in her jacuzzi hot tub. ¨ Photographs - family and friends; Apartment was full of them. ¨ News junkie; Watched CNN a lot. ¨ Larry. She didn't want the divorce; Took it very hard; very bitter andangry; Couldn't talk about him around her for almost 10 years after thedivorce; Daughter-in-law Dawn believes this internal affliction causedunnecessary health problems; In 2000, realized the effect this behaviorhad had on her sons and rectified her actions (very helpful). ¨ Basset hounds; Had dogs named Jake, Cleo, Punkie, Holly, and Barney. ¨ Perfect nails; Always had them done; Died with Bronco orange nails -very appropriate! ¨ Making homemade computer cards: birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas.

    Characteristics/Traits ¨ Cheerful attitude; Carefree; Enjoyed life. ¨ Never complained about her illness; Never let it slow her down; Wouldgo on vacations having her TPN sent to her and taking care of her ostomyneeds; When sick, wanted to be left alone. ¨ Not a morning person, liked to stay up late; Once no longer working,loved to sleep in. ¨ Very rarely asked for help; The Pastor at her memorial service saidthat he often sees this trait in people who are in the "helping"profession; They can't ask for help for themselves. ¨ Always interested in your life; Wanted details; Easy to talk to; Gaveadvice when asked. ¨ Loved to hear the details and really enjoyed seeing the photo albums ofJeff and Dawn's travels abroad. ¨ Very worldly; You could talk to her about anything: sports (especiallyfootball and baseball), world events, entertainment industry, etc; Sheknew something about everything! ¨ Not big on cooking; The microwave was her friend!; Jeff said they atea lot of takeout as kids; But made awesome, elaborate Thanksgiving andChristmas dinners. ¨ Didn't like to clean; Had a housekeeper that came in weekly once theycould afford it; Came monthly once living in Denver for heavy cleaning. ¨ Didn't like to confront people or situations; Would avoid it. ¨ Although couldn't afford a lot of nice things, the things that she didown were of very good quality (clothes, jewelry, cars, etc). ¨ Confetti wars with daughter-in-law, Dawn; Dawn sent letters and cardswith confetti in them and Marsha often forgot, and opened them gettingconfetti all over her car or apartment; One year Marsha wrapped allDawn's Christmas presents with confetti on the outside, so when sheopened them it would create a big mess; Dawn didn't open her presents ather house, so Dawn said it doesn't count - she didn't get her back! (Ha,ha!)

    Hobbies in Late 1990's ¨ Reading: newspaper every day; magazines (loved "People"), a lot ofnovels; Got books from the library. ¨ Crosswords. ¨ Surfing on the Internet. ¨ E-mailing family and friends; Loved to share jokes via email. ¨ Knitting for "Little Ones." ¨ Bought camcorder in 1996 and loved videotaping family events. ¨ Watching television; Favorites: "ER," "Friends," "Nash Bridges,""Providence," "CSI," "Cheers," "Hillstreet Blues," "Judging Amy," and"West Wing," ¨ Movies; Old movies and music concerts shown on television (TCM andAMC); Started to go to the movies in the late 1990's; Favorites sheowned: "Sleeping in Seattle," "Titanic," "Primary Colors," "Overboard,""As Good As It Gets," "Bull Durham," "Elvis Presley Loving You," "MirrorHas Two Faces," "The Way We Were," "Notting Hill," "You've Got Mail,""Funny Girl," and "Howie Mandale." ¨ Music. Oldies, easy listening, and musicals. Favorites: General -Barbara Streisand, Neil Diamond, Barry Manilow, Elvis, Beatles,Carpenters, Kenny Rogers, Alabama, Judy Garland, Righteous Brothers,Andrea Bocelli, Soundtracks from the 1960's and 1970's, Christmas music;Musicals and movie soundtracks - West Side Story, Copacabana, NottingHill, Dirty Dancing, Sister Act, Phantom of the Opera, Annie, Fiddler onthe Roof, and French Kiss. ¨ Theatre. She went to many plays and musicals during high school andcollege years; In the 1980's, Marsha and Larry started going toplays/musicals again. Absolutely loved the "Phantom of the Opera" and"Annie," a piece of music from both were played at her memorial service.
