  Notes	Joshua Gibbs, 6th child of Rev. John Gibbs and Rebecca Connelly Gibbs, married Rebecca Mira Connelly, March 3, 1813, Burke County, North Carolina, daughter of William Connelly and Rebecca Sherrill Connelly. Joshua was a Medical Doctor, he had a considerable practice for his day, treating fevers and other diseases. Physically and intellectually he surpassed ordinary. The possessor of a big sunny nature well supplied with wit and humor - a devoted Christian qualified to help one out of spiritual despondency as well as to prescribe for their physical infirmities. As a churchman he was an exhort class-leader - always faithful in duty. The above was written by his Great-Nephew Joshua Moore Gibbs, born 1848.
