Notes on Caryl written in obituaries: "They (Caryl and Bud) were highschool sweehearts at ETHS," according to Cathy (Jim) Schaffer, thecouple's oldest daughter. "She was the person everyone turned to. Shepractically managed the (Evanston Art) Center single-handedly," said Mrs.James R. (Jean) Hoel, a former Board Member of the Center and Mrs.Carver's sister-in-law.
