At the time of the 1881 census, Donald and Mary McIntosh were living at 7 Kincardine Street, Gray's Land, Liff and Benvie, Forfarshire. Living with them were Mary's children by her first marriage, William Clark (age 9)and Jane Clark (age 7) and David Edwins (age 24, born Kirkcaldy, Fife). At the time of the birth of their daughter, Kate, they were probably living at 11 Kincardine Street, Dundee, most likely the same street.
