    • Henry (Harry) Duff joined the City of Dundee Police on 24 October 1912. He resigned from the force on 13 May 1914, citing the fact that he "going abroad". He emigrated to Canada, although on the passenger list of the Caledonia, which sailed from Glasgow on 16 May 1914, his destination was stated to be the United States. A reservist, he returned to Scotland in November 1914 to rejoin his regiment. Harry Duff died while serving as a Sergeant, 2nd Battalion, Black Watch (Royal Highlanders) during World War I.
