    • Ralph Lonon Sanford served in the United States Army as a medic in France and Germany during World War I in Ambulance Company 153, VII Corps Sanitary Train. The VII corps was formed toward the end of World War I on August 19, 1918, at Remiremont, France, and was inactivated on 11 July 1919.
